A songwriter, producer, and artist from Rye, NY, Serena Jade recently graduated from Berklee College of Music with a major in songwriting and a minor in music technology. She grew up with many young cousins and always played the guitar for them. The children would gather around her as she taught them songs, drew silly pictures, or told stories at every family event. During high school and college, Serena taught guitar lessons and DJ lessons, which inspired her to keep teaching. While in college she also played guitar in various bands and had the honor of playing for Idina Menzel in the workshopping run of “Wild: A Musical Becoming.” On weekends, Serena often hosts crafting nights for friends that involve painting, collage, or knitting. She has been a painter her whole life and in college was part of the Berklee Institute for Interdisciplinary Arts where she studied different mediums of artistic expression. Also a certified yoga teacher, Serena implements mindfulness and movement into all aspects of her life. Serena’s playful nature and high energy make it easy for her to connect with kids of all ages and understand their unique needs. She hopes to create a space for every child to blossom and explore the arts in a way that is full of laughter, spirit, and pure joy.
