Thanks for your interest in parties at PLAY. We specialize in small celebrations for kids from 1 to 5 years, and our space is available for private rental on Saturdays starting at 3pm and Sundays starting at 10am.

General Info

When you throw a weekend party at PLAY, you’ll have private use of the space, including our toy-filled community area and our classroom in the back, which we set up as your dining area. With packages that include an art activity, you’ll also have an additional staff member and use of our art room.

All parties below include a two-hour private rental, an additional half-hour each for your set-up and load-out, and a party manager to help you as needed, assist with the flow of the party, and supervise the space (not the kids). All rental rates are based on parties with up to 15 child guests; gratuities for the staff are not included in the rates. For all parties, hosts are responsible for bringing in their own snacks, cake, paper products, and utensils.Because PLAY is best suited to smaller parties, we ask party hosts to limit their guest lists to 15 children (including siblings) with accompanying adults. Our absolute max for child guests is 20, and there is an $14 per child charge for child guests beyond the first 15.

PLAY is an unsupervised environment, and all children must be supervised by their parents or caregivers at all times. Because we specialize in parent-and-child curricula, all of our activities are more fun with enthusiastic grown-up involvement.

A non-refundable deposit of $195.00 is required to hold your date.

Party Packages

Messy Art Party: $600

recommended for ages 2-4

Messy Art w/additional staff member. Paint a picture or paint for the first time. Doodle on our chalkboard walls or collaborate on a mural. Smocks for kids and adults & all materials are provided. Our art-room easels can accommodate eight kids at a time. (Activity is open for up to 1 1/2 hours.)

Music Party: $765

recommended for ages 1-4

One of our teachers leads a fun and interactive half-hour of live music, customized for the birthday child and the age-range of your group, and featuring lots of play-along instruments, singing & movement.

Your music teacher will happily incorporate your requests into the set list, especially if you’re a PLAY music family with a list of favorites from our curriculum.

The music portion begins about 45 minutes into your guest time, after everyone has had a chance to arrive, play, and have a snack.

Art & Music Party: $820

recommended for ages 2-5

Throw a music & art extravaganza combining the elements of the Messy Art Party and Music Party above. The art activity is open from the very beginning of your party (for 1 hour) and we bring everyone together for music about 50 minutes in.

Craft Circle & Music: $795

+ cost of craft kits ($6.99 each + tax)

recommended for ages 4-5

Craft Circle A table is set in the art-room for the kids to each do a wooden craft kit project. These kits double as your party favors, and we bag them up festively as the kids finish. Chalkboard doodling available too, of course. The craft activity is open for one hour, starting at the beginning of your party.


Music Party (as described above)

Art-Room Add-ons: starting at $75

recommended for ages 4-5; add-on to any package that already includes Messy Art

Got something in mind? We love to create unique projects for parties, and kids love to take home something they’ve made themselves. Prices vary for custom projects, which always include a facilitator and up to 1 1/2 hours use of the art room.

Just the Space: $550

We are happy to provide private space rentals with no planned activities for 1-year-old birthday parties with child guests of similar age, OR for parties for which the host has arranged outside entertainment–characters, face-painting, clowning, or magic–through one of our approved vendors (available upon booking). If you are interested in bringing in an entertainer whom you love and who is new to us, chances are that will be fine. There are few activities we don’t host; they include animal handlers, bubble shows, edible art, anything wet or glittery, and outside music programs.


Most party hosts at PLAY opt to bring in food and cake, and we welcome you to do so. We only ask that you not bring food that you wouldn’t serve to kids in your own home (no bright red berries, exploding powdered sugar cookies, spaghetti and meatballs, etc.). Also, please no chafing dishes or other implements that could be hazardous.
