3/6/20

Dear Families,

Thank you to everyone who participated in our winter sessions. (Today is the last day of Winter Messy Mixed Media, and we’re heading into the final week of Winter PLAY music next week.)

We have noticed and so appreciated how everyone has been extra mindful of not coming to classes and activities with kids (or adults) who are getting over symptoms of common illnesses–not just in recent weeks, but throughout the cold and flu season. Because you’ve been so considerate, the mood at PLAY for the kids has stayed relaxed and fun (despite the anxiety we grown-ups may be feeling). On that note, we want to let you know what we’re doing at PLAY to take extra precautions due to the potential spread of COVID-19. Click here.

We are also saying goodbye to a very dear member of our PLAY family this coming week. Jasmine started working at PLAY five years ago, when she was still a college student. Since then, she has grown into an insightful, skilled, confident, and passionate arts educator. While we’ll miss seeing her every day and getting excited about art projects together, we are so proud that she’ll now be sharing her skills full-time with elementary-aged kids in a public school. Thank you for our years together, Jasmine! (She’ll be at PLAY today, Monday & Tuesday morning during drop-in art hours if you would like to wish her well.)

Lastly, we’ve been so fortunate to find two wonderful new art facilitators for our session-based art classes, whom Jasmine has been training for the last several weeks. To see the updated Spring Messy Mixed Media schedule, please click here.

Thanks,
Anne & James
