Dear PLAY Families,

We hope this finds you well. Thank you all so much for your patience and support over the last week.

As it seems clear now that we won’t be able to gather at PLAY, Silverlake Conservatory of Music, The Huntington, or any of our other locations as soon as we’d hoped, we’re working quickly to finalize the details on our online program, which will include real-time online classes, recorded classes to play along with on your own schedule, web materials, and track downloads.

We get how different this is. (In-person connection is kind of our thing.)  As parents ourselves, we’ve never been big on lots of screen time for our kids, especially when they were really little. However, over this short-long past week, we’ve seen how our kids have found some comfort in seeing the familiar face of a teacher, friend, or family member, even on a screen, at a time when most of their freedom and routines are suddenly on hold. We believe that we and your wonderful PLAY teachers can still bring you some joy, and we will try our hardest to do that with content that is interactive, developmentally appropriate, and fun. When it becomes possible again, we also want to be here to make family music and art with you in person, as we’ve been so fortunate to do  for the past 15 years.

Details on start dates and pricing will be coming very soon. In the meantime, please take a look at the “Hello, My Friends” video message to the kids from Keith, Emilia, Veronika & Lissy on Instagram.

Thank you & take care–
Anne & James
