Veronika Luu was born in Budapest, Hungary, and grew up in Germany where, as a child, she sang on children’s music recordings. She continued her music education, learning to play the guitar and writing her own songs, before studying and receiving a degree in speech therapy. By the time she moved with her husband and children to California in 2016, she had years of experience as a speech therapist specializing in children, autism, and voice. She also taught voice at the Eigenart music school in Siegen, Germany, while performing and collaborating with other artists on various performance projects. Veronika began working with PLAY in the summer of 2018. She teaches PLAY music classes at Silverlake Conservatory of Music and in the areas surrounding Pasadena, including some serving Head Start and Early Head Start families through our partnership with Pacific Clinics. She has also represented PLAY at The Huntington Library & Botanical Gardens. Veronika loves to awaken people’s passion for music and to help them discover their own potentials for singing. She spends her free time improvising funny songs with her two beautiful children, as well as continuing to work on her own music.
