Lori Oshiro

Lori grew up in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. After earning a BS degree in engineering from the University of Hawaii, she worked in the STEM sector for nearly 20 years for technology companies such as Motorola, Unisys, and Cadence Design Systems. Wanting to re-engage her long-held creative and artistic interests, Lori shifted gears and enrolled in art classes to explore various art media and genres, which included six months abroad studying classical realism at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. She has participated in juried art shows in Orange County and won recognition for her portrait painting and drawing. Lori also helps preschool and elementary school-aged kids access the educational curriculum by providing speech therapy in LAUSD schools, often creating and illustrating custom materials for her speech students to delight and engage them.
